Designed in collaboration with Robert Hawkins Architect, this project revamped a dated ski lodge built in the Fish Creek drainage of Steamboat Springs into a thoroughly modern and unique living experience. The home features a new “connector,” coalescing the once separated garage and residence into a single entity. The home features solar hot water heat, 10 kW solar array, trombe wall for heat storage, and benefits from a rigorously organized plan centered around the connector that becomes a driving design feature of the house.
