Erik Lobeck grew up in both the United States and Germany. Consequently he strives to couple American creativity and ingenuity with German efficiency. Erik is currently principal of workshopL, a Design + Build firm located in Steamboat Springs, CO. He has earned a Masters of Architecture from the University of Washington, and has undergraduate degrees from both Rhode Island School of Design and Rochester Institiute of Technology. Erik is a Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC) and focused on the intersection of energy efficiency and quality of design in his daily practice.
JD Haskell was born and raised on the Western Slope of Colorado and earned a professional architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University, where he graduated with honors. He has 12 years of work experience in both design and construction. JD is passionate about the mountains and regional culture and draws from his personal experiences to inform design.
Jessica studied fine art at Carnegie Mellon University. She applies her arts education toward a number of creative pursuits which include interior design and all graphic design work that applies to workshopL. She can also be found balancing the books and making sure everyone has what they need in the office. When she is not at her desk she is coaching mountain biking for the SSWSC or getting out on the snow.
